How it all started...

For Michaela and Marco, everything began at a young age.
The idea of owning their own hotel was never just a wish, but a clear vision.
A place where hospitality, quality and personality come together in a truly authentic way.

With passion and determination, both followed their own paths.
Through studies, training and experience in renowned establishments, they continuously refined their skills – always driven by the goal of creating something of their own.

Fate eventually brought them together in a two Michelin-starred restaurant.
A place of precision and excellence – and the beginning of their shared journey.

A dream come true

It quickly became clear: together they are stronger.
Two individual paths transformed into a shared vision.
With courage, dedication, and tireless commitment, they spent years designing the Badia Hill.
Every challenge, every detail, every sacrifice brought them closer to their goal, achieved in 2022 and enriched by the joy of their children, Amelie and David.

All the hard work soon bore fruit.
After only three years, Marco Verginer earned a Michelin star at Ristorante Porcino – an achievement that represents not only culinary excellence, but also passion, perseverance, and confidence in his journey.
Today their story is much more than a success.
It is proof that great dreams can come true – when lived together.
